Autobiography
My birth actually started the day before I was born. My mom had worked that day. She then turned in notice to take two weeks off her job to have her child (me.) It was the night of my parent’s last Lamaze class, mom and dad were sitting on the couch and my mom’s water broke. Even after months of preparation my dad’s first response was, to jump up and shout, “What do we do, what do we do?” They drove to the hospital to talk to the doctor. He said the birth wouldn’t be until the next morning at the earliest, so they checked in to the hospital. Even though my parents had good insurance, my dad didn’t want to pay for another day of just sitting in the hospital. They went to their last Lamaze class, where everyone gave them last minute advice. They went to the hospital and i was born at 8 o’clock on April 29th 1993. Later on, dad carried me around the waiting room showing me off to the other parents in the room. We stayed at the hospital that day. And then we came home and I have been living in the same house for 17 years.
Both of my parents were raised in the mountains of Colorado, they married in 1983. My dad is an Architect and my mom is a Psychoanalyst. They have lived in Glenwood 20 years and they plan to die here. My dad’s parents were raised in Kansas. My grandpa was a geologist, and a Veteran of WWII. My mom’s parents grew up in Colorado, and her dad ran his own orchard. Then later he and my grandma went into real estate.
One pivotal moment I have had in life was when I began to snowboard, it changed my life and gave me something to live for. It was fun and exhilarating. I skied for 6 years, and then switched to boarding. My dad said I was better at boarding in 2 days then I had been at skiing for 6 years. Another pivotal moment has been all the rap projects my friends and I do. We make beats and use our low grade equipment to shoot out some tracks of us rapping to beats we’ve made or a beat we get off the internet just to practice. It’s made a fun hobby and has given me a strong feeling that maybe someday I want to do it as a profession, not just for fun, but for some money.
Some things in life that make me happy are, snowboarding, girls, my family, friends, being outside doing something, the snow, the warmth, cold, the summer, the winter, the fall, the spring. I love skateboarding, going to concerts with friends, sleeping, eating, clothes, cars and interacting with people. These things make me happy because I am interested in them. I love these things and they make me happy every day.
Some things that make me sad are, war, mental pain, death, when someone dislikes you, rainy days, grounding, parental control, when you make a huge mistake, when you lose money, when money gets stolen from you, when someone says mean stuff, wasting an entire day, not going out to have fun at night, staying indoors all day. These things make me sad because life is unfair, but you have to get over it.
My religious beliefs are somewhat Christian I believe in the big man I do I do, I just don’t go to church. I pray and worship him in my own way. I have had moments were I felt he has helped me out in a hard time. But I honestly think it doesn’t matter what your religious views are.
My weakness is math but I’m always getting better, understanding it more and more and doing better in school. My other weakness is organization. I have very bad organizational skills, but that can be changed too. I have one more and its kryptonite. That can’t be changed. I’m allergic to it.
My strengths are my agility, my sense of sound for music, my ability in sports, my average smarts, I’m good with words, I have a good vocabulary, I’m an exceptional reader, I’m very good at having conversations with people, very good at having a good time, I’m good at understanding computers, I’m good at anything active, and I’m a great sleeper.
Beauty is the certain attraction that looks good to the human eye. Qualities that give pleasure to the senses. It could be a very seductive woman. Beauty is everywhere, in the mountains, in the sky, in the water, and this lush green earth.
Friendship is very complicated, it’s hard to find an honest, loyal friend now a days. These days people are deceitful, but that’s not what I’m explaining, in this explanation. Friendship is all about trust, honesty, loyalty and the willingness to stand up for one another. You never rat them out for anything, you keep your mouth shut. And although friendship has its ups and downs it is always nice to have someone that is your friend, who call themselves that, And is loyal to that and will stick up for you and hang out with you.
I think what is important for my future happiness is to keep looking for something that I want to do with the rest of my life, find a passion that I enjoy getting up every day to do. But to do this I will have to stay in school just to keep my options open. And I want to do that, I am just ready to graduate high school and move on to a better place setting, to be in an environment that allows self choice to pick the courses that you want to learn, the ones that will help you succeed in fields that you may want to pursue.
I define success as a person who tries at something very hard every time he or she does it, and upon failing you don’t just give up but try again, just as hard as the first time. Right now at high school I am an average success, not over the top but mellow. Success is a loaded word, though it means to accomplish a task and keep the task up and going and meeting people’s needs.
Before I end this paper I would like to just write down all of the things I am grateful for. I am grateful for my family. I’m grateful of everything really, I have good friends I have great place to live, that’s right, its COLORADO! I am very thankful for the mountains, the sky, the animals, and the people I know around this town. I love how my valley is so safe, we are enclosed in a tiny little valley but the mountains are all around in every direction. I am grateful for the killer ski areas that are very close to the general area, about a 45 minute drive. I am grateful for this earth; it’s so crazy to think we just live in a bubble filled with oxygen and billions of people and a billion microbes, along with animals and amphibians with a bunch of other microscopic creatures living amongst us. I am so grateful for life, it is a wonderful experience, I have new experiences everyday, not all are good situations. But even in the bad situations I try to still look at the positive side. Even though it’s hard to see when you’re mad or depressed and can’t think straight just try. I am grateful for my dog, Madi she is a good dog. I am grateful for exhausting lists of gratefulness, I am grateful for my life, the way I am and who I interact with. I am grateful for who I have met over the years, the way I turned out, I’m sooo grateful for my parents, the most supportive parents you’ll ever know, but like all normal human beings we all have times when people get nasty towards other people and no matter what, you’re going to get in a fight with your parents, and going to get really angry with them as well. But in the end I love them so much and I will always forgive them as they would do to me. I’m grateful for the love I was always shown by my family members. I have never had a bad experience seeing one of my family members. I am grateful for the sun that keeps me alive, warm, heated, and full of energy, ninety miles an hour. I am grateful for the sense of touch, smell taste, sight. The intense sense of simulation to a nerve that triggers your brain to realize what it is feeling, tasting, seeing or smelling.
